more house projects except not our house

As a surprise for Chris' mom we decided to strip the wallpaper in her bathroom and paint the walls.  While we were renovating our house (Chris' parents helped almost every day) Judy kept mentioning she wanted to do her bath once we were moved in and settled.  Thankfully, I was smart enough to look at paint colors and I knew what she wanted.  Well, it took a while for us to be settled and we still have many projects we need to finish, but I didn't want to forget about Judy's bath.  Judy and Richard were at the beach for a week and then went on a cruise in Alaska giving us 2 weekends and the week in between to work on the bathroom.

Now, if it had only been the wallpaper and painting it might have been a quick and easy project as the wallpaper came down easier than we thought it would.  But, no renovation project goes off without a hitch, we were emptying the vanity and found the faucet had been leaking and had destroyed the bottom of the vanity so what were we to do?  We tore it out and found cabinet and a counter-top to replace the old with. Here are a few picture of the renovation process!
Grumpy Chris, not happy about the leak (he was also posing for a dramatic effect)!!!

the leak and the mess it left behind; see that bottom shelf there

See the shelf how it is collapsing into the space below it that used to be a functioning drawer and the support in the back has broken in two....when we pulled the cabinet completely out it fell apart the rest of the way.

Pregnant and scraping wallpaper, that is LOVE!

the action shot!
vanity is gone, what have we done!?!
I hope Judy likes it....we will find out tomorrow!!!

I will post finished pictures once Chris does the last few things
and let yall know what she thought of the new fresh blue walls.
