i just wanted to stop by and say hello and thank you for your ongoing support. it means more than you could know. i'll been looking into starting an emergency fund like you suggested. it's going to get a lot easier with money soon. DH is a veteran and signed up for their new post-9-11 GI Bill which will provide him over $7,000 per semester for "housing allowance". I can't wait for that money to start pouring in and for DH to go back to school. He hasn't worked since Iraq, since the Army. Working gives one a sense of purpose and sometimes he struggles with not having any. So this whole school thing for him is going to be GREAT for us on so many levels. I do already have some money tucked away but I cannot touch it. (it was a gift from my mom for our house-to-be, formerly, it was our wedding money) I have it locked into a time deposit and don't want to lose all the interest I've earned taking the money out. So - I guess it was a poor choice of accounts for emergency funds but it certainly served the purpose of us not touching it.
thanks again for all your support. sorry, my comment is probably even longer than yours was. :)
