I just found a feather in my salad at Panara Bread. They gave me my lunch for free, but I am still grossed out. Why do you always find this at the end of the meal?
In other news today:
Sara's Wedding Shower was wonderful. We couldn't have asked for better weather. It was in a backyard and felt like a garden party. Very classy! Just makes me want the wedding to be here tomorrow!
Selling our house: We had a showing scheduled for 5-6, these are the couple that came on Thursday and saw the house. They are coming back to see the garage and apartment!!! Then I get a call that wakes me up from my nap and another showing was scheduled for 3:30-4:30!! YIPPEE!! I put a note on the door that said to leave the lights on for the next showing. If I was looking seriously at a house knew there was a ton of showings it would make me more anxious, I am hoping this will put a little good pressure on them to make an offer sooner than later.
The house we are looking at near my in-laws. Last Sunday, Chris and I walked through it and were happy about some things and dissapointed about others. We were hoping there would be a way to open the kitchen to the den, but without giving up a small 1/2 bath we can't do it. The kitchen was bigger than we thought, which is a huge plus, but the den was smaller. The dining room ceiling is REALLY low. Earlier this week, I was really feeling that this would be too big of a project for us, but now I am more excited after Mom looked at it and did her majic on it. (FYI: this is what she does for a living and could make the house beautiful and exactly what we want). The only catch is the money side. I just don't know how we are going to be able to buy the house and the 8 acres and still have enough money to redo the kitchen and make the rest of the house livable until the major renovations would take place. The first thing to go would be the kitchen and then the wood paneling that is throughout the ENTIRE house. YUCK! A lot of sweat will go into this one if we do it.
Looking forward: The first step is to sell our house and then the next step is to see what they might want for the other property. Then if all that is a go, we will bring mom to the house and come up with a master plan which will include an estimate of how much it would cost to do what we want to do. Then make an offer on the house...but not until I know it is possible that it could become my forever house.
